Amazon listings show PS4 exclusives heading for PC, but Sony calls them inaccurate
If a new leak is to be believed, more Sony platform exclusives could be heading towards PC, as a whole load of listings have gone up on Amazon France. The newly upped pages show that major PlayStation releases like Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Days Gone, Gran Turismo Sport, and Persona 5 Royal are coming over to a brand new platform.
However, while all these games at least have a possibility of coming to PC, there is also an Amazon France listing for The Last of Us Part II that’s listed as releasing on Windows, which is pretty much impossible.
From the listings put up today, the most likely titles to get PC releases would probably be Persona 5 Royal by Atlus (a subsidiary of Sega) and maybe Days Gone, owing to its mixed launch response. While not outright denying the games are being ported, Sony has given a statement to IGN that says “The listings are not accurate. We have made no announcements to bring these games to PC.” Moreover, in a statement to PC Gamer regarding the same leak, Sega has said: “That listing is an error and we’re looking into having it taken down and how it happened.”
Premature Amazon listings have been responsible for quite a number of leaks in the past, and some have gone on to become precursors to real announcements while some were simply mistakes that never amounted to anything. Amazon France did have a hand in the leak that said Horizon Zero Dawn – another first-party exclusive – was coming to PC, with a surprising confirmation from Sony arriving only last month.
With Horizon Zero Dawn now heading to PC, we probably will see more Sony games being announced for PC. But still, take today’s Amazon listing findings with a mountain of salt until any official announcements arrive from the companies responsible.
